Applicant Terms & Conditions
These Applicant Terms & Conditions (“Applicant Terms”) apply to anyone submitting a job application to T.H.T — The Hybrid Trainers (“T.H.T”, “we”, “us”). You must read and agree to these Applicant Terms before submitting an application. Version: applicant-terms-v1 (July 20, 2026).
1. An application is not an offer of employment
Submitting an application does not create an employment relationship, contract, or promise of any kind. We are under no obligation to review, respond to, interview, or hire any applicant, and we may close, pause, or change any opening at any time without notice.
2. At-will employment
If you are hired, your employment will be at-will under California law: either you or T.H.T may end the relationship at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Nothing in your application, in these Applicant Terms, in any interview, or in any T.H.T document creates a promise of continued employment. The at-will nature of employment can only be changed by a written agreement signed by the owner of T.H.T.
3. Truthfulness of your application
You certify that everything in your application — including your identity, experience, certifications, and their expiration dates — is true, accurate, and complete. Any false statement, misrepresentation, or material omission is grounds for refusal to hire, withdrawal of any offer, or immediate termination whenever it is discovered, no matter how much time has passed.
4. Certification requirements are ongoing
A valid, non-expired personal training certification from a nationally accredited body and a current CPR/AED certification are conditions of both application and continued engagement. If either credential lapses at any time, you must tell us immediately and stop training clients; a lapsed credential is grounds for suspension or termination. You are solely responsible for maintaining and renewing your own credentials at your own cost.
5. Verification and references
By applying, you authorize T.H.T to verify the information you provide — including contacting certifying organizations to confirm the status and validity of your certifications, and contacting references and prior employers or gyms you have worked with. Where any formal background check is required, it will be requested through a separate written authorization as required by applicable law.
6. Authorization to work in the United States
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Any offer of employment or engagement is contingent on verification of your eligibility to work in the United States as required by federal law. We do not sponsor work visas.
7. The role is physically demanding
Personal training involves sustained physical activity, demonstrating exercises, spotting clients, and moving equipment. By applying you acknowledge that you understand the physical nature of the work. If you need a reasonable accommodation to perform the role or to participate in the application process, tell us and we will engage in the process required by applicable law.
8. Equal opportunity
T.H.T considers applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, medical condition, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
9. If you are engaged
The structure of any engagement (employee or independent contractor), compensation within our stated range, schedule, and duties will be set out in a separate written agreement. You may be required to carry professional liability insurance, follow all studio and client-safety policies, keep client information confidential, and refrain from soliciting T.H.T clients for outside training during and for a reasonable period after your engagement, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Your application data
The information you submit is used solely to evaluate your application and is shared only with the people involved in hiring. We may retain applications for a reasonable period to consider you for future openings, and we do not return application materials. You may ask us to delete your application at any time by emailing us.
11. No reimbursement; no liability for the process
Any costs you incur in applying or interviewing (travel, time, document copies) are your own. To the fullest extent permitted by law, T.H.T is not liable for technical failures, lost or undelivered applications, or any decision to hire or not hire. Nothing in these Applicant Terms waives rights that cannot lawfully be waived, including rights under workers’ compensation law.
12. General
These Applicant Terms are governed by California law. If any provision is held invalid, the rest remain in full force. We may update these Applicant Terms at any time; the version you agree to at submission is the one that applies to your application. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Agreement happens inside the application itself: on the Careers page, you’ll open these terms, scroll to the bottom, and click “I have read and agree” before you can submit.
